Accounts Payable Clerk

HornBill has a client with an immediate need for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Baltimore, Maryland (MD) area. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner and able to multitask effectively. Responsibilities include:
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- Enter all invoices, check requests, applications for payments, etc. either electronically or manually (depending on software in use for that project)
- Route all invoices electronically or manually for approvals (includes providing initial coding)
- As invoices return approved, post all invoices into software
- Track invoices and follow up on coding/approval from appropriate managers
- Prepares all batch check runs, wire transfers, ACH transactions, etc.
- Responsible for all check disbursements obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly
- Process online payments as necessary and record in software as appropriate
- Research and resolve any internal or external issues on vendor accounts, invoices, etc.
- Set up new vendors and maintain vendor information (including W9s, insurance certificates, etc.)
- Monitor cash balances and notify when balances are not adequate to support upcoming payments
- High School diploma/GED required, college courses in Accounting preferred
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable, team oriented
- Proficient in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch
- Yardi Voyager or Sage Timberline experience a plus
