Accounts Payable Clerk
American Engineering & Development Corp.
Location: Hialeah Gardens, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
American Engineering, a civil construction company based in Hialeah Gardens, is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The detail candidate will be responsible for processing vendor invoices, managing payments, reconciling statements, and supporting the accounting department with accurate and timely information.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify vendor invoices and payment requests.
- Match invoices to purchase orders, contracts, and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process check runs.
- Maintain organized accounts payable files and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with vendors, project managers, and internal staff.
- Perform other related duties as needed to support departamental goals.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Previous Accounts Payable experience preferred.
- Construction industry experience preferred.
- Experience with SAGE 300 (Timberline) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and bi-lingual in English & Spanish.
