JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounting Specialist I applies generally accepted accounting principles to record a broad variety of financial transactions for SBTS and its subsidiary companies, utilize business office module for entering transactions, reconcile general ledger accounts, assist with various special projects as assigned, serve as backup to other accounting positions, and perform other related duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions:

Performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION:

The person in this position should have an Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

The person in this position should have a minimum of one to three years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

SUPERVISION:

The person in this position will supervise no one.

The person in this position will report to the Manager of Accounting Operations or other administrative officer.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The person in this position will work in a standard office environment.

EQUIPMENT:

The person in this position will use the following equipment: standard office machines and personal computer.
