Accounting Manager

Fissco Supply is seeking an Accounting Manager for our Branch Support Office located in Dallas, Texas. You will be reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, manage journal entries, and handle fixed asset accounting. Additional responsibilities include financial planning, reporting, compliance, and adhering to internal policies and best practices. The role involves collaboration with team members to ensure streamlined financial operations and accurate reporting. You will be hands-on, analytical, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced distribution environment. Portuguese fluency is highly preferred due to regular communication and reporting responsibilities with Brazilian ownership and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Manages monthly financial close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement review
• Oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking activities, and cash flow forecasting
• Maintains and improves accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiencies
• Prepares financial reports, variance analyses, and KPI reporting for executive leadership
• Assists with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
• Support external audits, sales tax filings, property tax reporting, and compliance requirements
• Partners with operations, procurement, and branch leadership teams to analyze profitability, inventory, and business performance
• Supervises and mentor accounting staff while helping build scalable processes to support company growth
• Assists with ERP administration and continuous process improvement initiatives 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior leadership or management experience preferred
• Experience in distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, or inventory-based industries strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills required
• ERP experience required; Epicor Eclipse experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with a hands-on mentality
• Someone who thrives in a collaborative, growth-oriented culture
• Bilingual in Portuguese and English highly preferred
