Accounting Manager

A well established food and beverage manufacturer in San Antonio is hiring an accounting manager to lead its accounting function during an exciting period of growth. This is a hands on seat with real ownership over cost accounting and month end close, working directly with senior leadership rather than buried under layers of finance staff.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month end/quarter end/year end close, financial reporting, general ledger, and internal controls• Direct experience managing or overseeing an AP/AR function• Genuine hands on manufacturing environment experience, with real exposure to production, ingredients/materials, and labor cost inputs• Strong cost accounting experience: product costing, bills of materials, margin analysis, and cost driven pricing recommendations• Strong working knowledge of GAAP• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills• ERP system experience preferredKey Responsibilities:• Own month end, quarter end, and year end close, including reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial statements• Manage one direct report handling AP/AR, vendor payments, invoicing, and collections• Partner with operations leadership on production and ingredient costing, margin analysis, and cost driven pricing decisions• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis alongside executive leadership• Maintain internal controls and support external audit and tax requirements• Use ERP and Excel tools to improve reporting, reconciliations, and accounting workflows
