Accounting Assistant

A local company is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day accounting and customer service functions. This position will primarily assist with AP statement reconciliations, invoicing, and related administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have some previous accounting experience, but the company is willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile accounts payable statements and identify discrepancies

• Prepare and process customer invoices

• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation

• Assist with general accounting and administrative tasks

• Respond to basic customer questions and provide light customer service

• Communicate with internal team members regarding invoices and account information

• Learn and utilize the company’s distribution/accounting software

Qualifications and Skills

• 2+ years of accounting or related office experience preferred

• Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, or invoicing preferred

• Basic understanding of accounting processes

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Comfortable working with computer-based accounting/business systems

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Ability to learn new software and processes

• No degree required

Benefits/Compensation

• Full Time

• First shift (8:30am – 5:30pm)  

• $18+/hr based on experience

• Temp to hire position  

• Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
