Accounting Clerk

Duties & Responsibilities
- Verify, classify, calculate, and record day-to-day financial transactions.
- Prepare financial reports as needed.
- Prepare and maintain audit schedules.
- Prepare and submit monthly General Consumption Tax (GCT) returns and other statutory filings.
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
Qualification & Skills Requirement
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, ACCA Level 2, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least three years’ experience in a similar role.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with QuickBooks is an asset.
- Familiarity with Jamaican tax regulations and filing procedures is an asset.
- Strong reporting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a record of accurate work.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- A high level of confidentiality.
