Today, Cedarstone is an international business services organization with 200+ clients (mainly Christian) that are changing the world!

As an Accounting Associate, you'll be responsible for consistently delivering accurate and timely accounting services (A/P, expense reports, and/or payroll) for a set of clients, focusing on problem-solving and proactive communication.

Core Details

• Salary: $19 - $21/hour, depending on experience.
• Job class: Part-time, business hours Monday - Friday
• Location:  
  • Hybrid: US-based, working from our headquarters in Wheaton, IL.
  • Fully Remote: Allowed in the following states: AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, MI, NC, OH, TN, TX,. No other states or international locations will be considered at this time.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Accounting Operations:

• • Process financial transactions (A/P, A/R, and Payroll) in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepare and process client invoices, wire transfers, and expense reports.
  • Research and solve client problems, providing clear explanations of reports and collaborating on solutions.
  • Maintain client data and ensure all monthly tasks are tracked (e.g., using Canopy).

• Client & Staff Engagement:

• • Proactively communicate with clients, answering questions and providing timely follow-up on requests.
  • Meet with client operations teams and internal client relationship teams to ensure commitments are met.
  • Assist with client onboarding and provide backup coverage for teammates.

• Process Improvement & Documentation:

• • Document processes to ensure service continuity.
  • Collaborate with other Associates to identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.

  What You Bring

• Experience & Education

• • 1+ years of experience working in a business office environment.
  • 2-year or 4-year degree that includes business training.

• Preferred Qualifications

• • Experience in accounts payable and payroll.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and Excel.

• Skills & Attributes

• • Strong ethical standards and integrity.
  • Excellent research and problem-solving skills—adept at "figuring out puzzles".
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills that cultivate client trust.
