TITLE: Accountant II

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The accountant participates in compiling financial reporting, compliance, general ledger reconciliation, budgeting and financial analysis. This role is essential for maintaining financial health and ensuring adherence to GAAP standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting 3-5 years of experience in accounting preferred Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and identify trends Proficient in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills Outstanding attention to detail ensuring accuracy in financial records and reports Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and deliver high quality work under tight timelines Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate nonstandard work hours as necessary. Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interaction

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the preparation of month-end/year-ed closing Maintains and updates journal entries and general ledger Reconciles bank accounts Monitors accounts payable/receivable to ensure accurate and timely payments Evaluates financial operations, identifies risks, and recommends improvements for cost reduction and profit maximization Assists in other functions of the accounting department such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections and billing Collaborate with other departments in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for future financial cycles Utilizes accounting software Perform other duties as requested by management All other duties as assigned.
