Accountant

Manpower is now recruiting an Accountant in Minden!

This is a temp position, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Pay ranges from $30-$35/hour and is based on experience.

JOB SUMMARY

Performs duties as assigned by the Assistant Controller in accounts payable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Processes vendor setup and Maintenance.

2. Processes ACH banking verifications.

3. Reconciles vendor statements monthly.

4. Communicates with vendors and answers questions concerning payments.

5. Assists in issue resolution for invoices.

6. Process invoice entry group.

7. Processes payable checks weekly.

8. Preparation, communication, & resolution of received not invoiced & invoice on hold items quarterly.

9. Communicates frequently with Supply Chain & Warehouse departments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. One to three years accounting experience preferred.

3. Computer skills required.

4. Knowledge and ability to use various office machine, i.e., computer, copy machine, fax machine, 10-key, printers, scanner, shredder.

5. Basic phone skills required.

6. A high degree of motivation and self-discipline required. Must be detail-oriented.

7. Ability to maintain confidential nature of accounting information. A high level of integrity is required.

8. Excellent communication skills required.

9. Must be a proven team player.

10. Must be organized and possess an ability to handle multiple projects.

11. Ability to work effectively with other employees, managers and customers. Excellent interpersonal skills.

12. Must possess a high degree of motivation and self-direction.

13. Effective problem solving skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Position requires long periods of sitting.
