Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury & Tax

The Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury & Tax leads CONMED's enterprise financial planning, treasury strategy, and global tax activities. This role provides strategic financial leadership across planning, forecasting, liquidity, capital structure, capital allocation, financial risk management, tax strategy, compliance, reporting, and enterprise performance reporting. Serving as a key advisor to the CFO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors, the role partners with business leaders, external financial institutions, tax authorities, advisors, and cross-functional teams to align financial strategy, tax governance, and capital priorities with CONMED's enterprise objectives and long-term value creation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Enterprise Financial Strategy, Planning & Capital Allocation

• Lead CONMED's annual operating plan, strategic plan, long-range financial outlook, and enterprise capital allocation framework.
• Provide financial leadership to support growth initiatives, investments, acquisitions, capital deployment, and organizational transformation efforts.
• Partner with executive leadership to evaluate strategic opportunities, assess financial implications, and align resources to the Company's highest-value priorities.

Forecasting, Performance Management & Financial Analytics

• Lead global forecasting processes and deliver accurate, actionable financial projections.
• Establish enterprise performance metrics, financial targets, and reporting disciplines that support business objectives.
• Monitor performance against plans and forecasts, identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
• Deliver insights that improve operational performance, profitability, cash flow, and shareholder value.

Treasury Strategy, Cash Management & Financial Risk

• Develop and execute CONMED's global treasury strategy in alignment with enterprise objectives.
• Oversee global cash positioning, liquidity planning, debt facilities, credit agreements, covenant compliance, and intercompany capital planning.
• Lead banking relationships, including partner management, fee and service negotiations, credit terms, and treasury technology providers.
• Support capital markets activity, refinancing, financing structures, share repurchase activity, and other capital allocation initiatives.
• Manage financial risks, including interest rate, foreign exchange, counterparty, insurance, and treasury-related SOX compliance matters.

Tax Strategy, Compliance & Reporting

• Provide executive leadership for global tax activities, including income tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, tax planning, and tax governance.
• Oversee tax compliance, tax accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory disclosures in alignment with applicable laws and accounting standards.
• Advise leadership on tax implications of acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, international expansion, and other strategic business activities.
• Manage tax audits, examinations, and relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.

Executive & Board Decision Support

• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors on financial performance, strategic investments, capital deployment, liquidity, enterprise risks, treasury matters, and tax strategy.
• Develop executive-level reporting, financial analyses, treasury updates, business reviews, tax updates, and Board materials.
• Translate complex financial, treasury, tax, and market information into clear insights and actionable recommendations.

Enterprise Analytics & Business Partnership

• Lead financial analysis related to revenue growth, margin expansion, operating efficiency, cash flow, capital investments, and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate business cases, acquisitions, operational improvement opportunities, and tax or treasury implications.
• Promote data-driven decision-making through financial modeling, scenario analysis, market intelligence, and performance analytics.

Governance, Controls & Cross-Functional Partnership

• Establish and maintain planning processes, financial controls, forecasting disciplines, treasury policies, tax governance, and cash movement controls.
• Ensure alignment among FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Legal, external auditors, advisors, and business finance teams.
• Partner with Legal and Finance teams to support disclosure controls, tax and treasury compliance obligations, and related governance requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial planning systems, Treasury and Tax processes, reporting tools, and analytical capabilities.

Leadership & Organization Development

• Lead and develop a high-performing finance organization across FP&A, Treasury, and Tax capabilities.
• Build organizational capability through succession planning, leadership development, talent management, and clear ownership of executive-level versus operational finance activities.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, analytical excellence, controls discipline, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience across FP&A, corporate finance,accounting, business finance, or related financial disciplines within a complex multinational organization.
• 8+ years of people leadership experience, including leadership of managers and/or directors.
• 5+ years of executive-level finance leadership experience with responsibility for enterprise financial planning, forecasting, capital allocation, or related corporate finance functions.
• Experience leading an FP&A function within a global manufacturing, medical device, life sciences, healthcare, or other highly regulated industry.
• Experience operating within a publicly traded company environment, including familiarity with governance, disclosure, compliance, and shareholder considerations.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Taxation, or related discipline.
• CPA, CFA, Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), or other relevant professional designation.
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise planning, forecasting, strategic analysis, performance management, liquidity planning, and capital allocation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive enterprise alignment, and lead through organizational complexity and change.
• Proven track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing teams through multiple levels of management.
• Experience supporting executive leadership, Board-level discussions, and enterprise decision-making through financial analysis and recommendations.
• Experience supporting public company reporting, earnings processes, investor-related analyses, capital markets activity, debt financing, refinancing, or capital allocation decisions.
• Experience leading global treasury operations including cash management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, debt facilities, foreign exchange, and enterprise financial risk management.
• Experience overseeing global tax strategy, tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax accounting, and international tax matters.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, integration activities, enterprise transformation initiatives, or global business expansion.
• Experience presenting to Boards of Directors, Audit Committees, or executive leadership teams.

Remote position. Total Travel of approximately 30% - 40%

Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is 250,000 to 350,000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education and skill level. The salary range is CONMED’s good faith belief at the time of this posting.
