Tax Manager

HornBill has a client in search of a Tax Manager in New York, NY. Summary: The client is a growing professional services firm specializing in outsourced accounting and tax related services for emerging businesses and their owners. They are seeking a Tax Manager to provide a wide array of tax compliance and research services for a diverse mix of clients in the tri-state area. • Bachelor's in Accounting (CPA a plus)
• 3+ years of public accounting experience including tax preparation & compliance in these areas: Form 1120 and supporting schedules Corporate Consolidations, Partnerships (Form 1065 and supporting schedules and partner reconciliations) Trusts and high net worth individuals Multi-state income tax compliance
• Corporations with foreign subsidiaries and foreign reporting compliance issues
• Working knowledge of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
• Ability to create supporting Excel schedules, using tables and formulas
• Outstanding project management and analytical skills with an ability to prioritize
• CCH software preferred
• Good understanding of Book to Tax Differences for M-1 Reconciliation Including debt/equity - stock compensation, NOL Utilization (SRLY)
• SALT experience; Multi-State Consolidation & Short-Year Returns Deferred taxes a plus
• Foreign Ownership/Foreign Subsidiaries
• Form 5471and supporting schedules Form 5472 Form 8865 FBAR Corporate (Foreign Bank Account Reporting) Form W-BEN
