Tax Associate - Canandaigua, NY (On-Site)

The Opportunity:

In this position, you will work in a collaborative environment and experience a team approach to serving clients while developing direct relationships. 

As a tax associate, you will be encouraged and supported to learn and grow personally and professionally. This role will provide the opportunity to develop organizational skills, while beginning to take an active role in working directly with clients.

A Closer Look At The Role:

• Keeps informed of current technical developments and pronouncements 
• Demonstrates ability to complete partnership, corporate, individual, sales, and estate and gift tax returns 
• Demonstrates logical thinking when recording tax information 
• Ensures that all data needed to comply with filing requirements are collected; identifies and properly communicates missing items to prepare return
• Performs self-review of work prior to submitting returns for review
• Demonstrates ability to provide neat, complete, and organized workpapers using the firm's technology

• Bachelor’s or master's degree in accounting or a related discipline  
• 1-2 years of prior tax experience required
• Ability to work collaboratively with others
• Computer proficiency with Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• CCH Axcess Tax and Prosystem Scan Fx preferred, but not required
