Compensation Range: $73/hr to $83/hr (subject to experience, qualifications, and employment conditions)

Our multinational retail company is looking for a Senior Manager, Tax Analyst.

The Senior Manager, Tax ensures timely completion and delivery of all corporate tax compliance obligations, providing leadership in issue resolution, systems implementation, and tax compliance processes. This role supports tax accounting and planning initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall tax strategy.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager, Tax leads tax compliance and system support, ensuring adherence to tax compliance and control for existing and new programs. This position manages system implementations and updates, ensuring accurate tax capture and documentation. The role oversees daily tax compliance, reporting, and systems control, developing direct reports and providing regular performance evaluations.

An in-depth understanding of end-to-end systems, processes, accounting, and controls for all tax operations is required to manage research and analysis of tax-related issues. This position highlights and remediates issues, proposing resolution plans to senior leadership. The role includes oversight of procedural documentation for all systems and processes necessary for tax collection, remittance, and recovery.

The Senior Manager, Tax also oversees system implementations and new business initiatives impacting the compliance process, working closely with required business functions. Responsibilities include managing external government audits, providing necessary analysis and documentation, and responding to queries. The role involves promoting tax awareness and knowledge, proposing changes to policies and systems to improve internal controls and departmental efficiencies.

Additionally, the position reviews and manages tax research based on current and proposed legislation, assessing and communicating the impact of tax changes. This role drives associate engagement, valuing and developing team members, and identifying and setting goals for direct reports. The Senior Manager, Tax collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure tax implications are identified and reported appropriately, ensuring compliance with all tax requirements.
