Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood’s mission is to promote healthy sexuality and reproductive choice through exceptional services, honest education and fearless advocacy. We serve the greater Capital District and operate health centers in Albany, Troy and Hudson, NY.

Our Finance team is looking for a full-time Senior Accountant who is enthusiastic about working for Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood. Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) the Senior Accountant is a core technical role supporting the CFO and Finance leadership in all accounting-related matters. This position is responsible for daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting operations, including cash receipts, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, grant accounting and reporting and vouchering, fixed assets, lease accounting, audit support, budget support, and internal and external financial reporting. 

The role also serves as a key finance resource for reconciliations, compliance, cross-departmental reporting, and process continuity across critical finance functions. This position is Supervisory to one full-time Finance staff member. 

In accordance with the NYS Wage Transparency Act we must share the salary range for this position is $75-$85k annually.

Works quickly without compromising detail. Must be analytic and organized. Must have experience in people management held in a Supervisory role. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and preferably one to three years of professional level accounting experience. Prior non-profit accounting experience is also preferred. Prior financial reporting experience that includes: working with subsidiary ledgers, preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing general ledger account analyses, and preparing accounting schedules for program staff, funding sources and external audits. CPA Certification a plus!
