SUMMARY:
This position will support day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger activities. Previous experience with Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Process and maintain accounts payable invoices and payments.
•Assist with accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, cash applications, and account follow-up.
•Perform account and bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
•Assist with general ledger entries and month-end closing activities.
•Review accounting records for accuracy and completeness.
•Research and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and customer or vendor accounts.
•Assist with maintaining accurate vendor and customer records.
•Prepare routine accounting reports and supporting schedules.
•Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed.
•Maintain organized documentation and comply with company accounting policies and procedures.
•Provide support to the accounting team and other departments as needed.
What you need to be successful:
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
•0–2 years of accounting experience; internship or related experience is a plus.
•Previous experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable preferred.
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
•Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
•Strong organizational and time-management skills.
•Ability to analyze information, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to work independently while also being an effective team member.
