Job Summary

The Accountant I contributes to the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting program by performing essential accounting tasks and supporting daily accounting operations.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

•Completes assigned tasks with attention to accuracy and adherence to established procedures and controls• Gathers, organizes, and verifies data to support reporting, analysis, and decision-making• Assists with process enhancements by identifying potential improvements in daily activities• Works effectively within a team to meet deadlines and deliverables while ensuring compliance with company policies• Actively develops skills through hands-on experience and engagement in learning opportunities

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (in Accounting, Finance, or related field)

Experience

• 0-3 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Experience preferred in the Energy industry, but not required

Skills

•Experience with accounting and/or reporting systems •Strong financial analysis, problem solving & communication skills •Process improvement oriented •Fundamental understanding of the accounting close process
