Summary
Reporting to Payroll & Benefits Supervisor, the Financial accountant will work on month end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, payroll & benefits, compliance, indirect tax, and other special projects.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the following:
- Perform balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations.
- Prepare payroll, benefits and other entries.
- Accounting support & reconciliations for the following:
- Intercompany.
- Payroll & benefits.
- Fixed assets & Capex.
- Right of use assets.
- Property tax and Heavy Equipment tax
- Input financial data in BPC.
- Validate sales tax exemption certificates and upload exemption certificates in OneSource.
- Review accrued use tax and prepare use tax correction upload files.
- Assist with internal and external audit.
- Maintain SOX-compliant documentation
- Participate in special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required and master’s degree is a plus.
- SAP experience is a must, Sales and Use tax and Blackline experience are preferred.
- Accounting certification as a certified public accountant (CPA) is a plus.
- The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of recent work experience in a related field.
- Self-motivated with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and SAP.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
