Financial Accountant

Summary

Reporting to Payroll & Benefits Supervisor, the Financial accountant will work on month end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, payroll & benefits, compliance, indirect tax, and other special projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Perform balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations.
• Prepare payroll, benefits and other entries.
• Accounting support & reconciliations for the following:
  • Intercompany.
  • Payroll & benefits.
  • Fixed assets & Capex.
  • Right of use assets.
  • Property tax and Heavy Equipment tax
• Input financial data in BPC.
• Validate sales tax exemption certificates and upload exemption certificates in OneSource.
• Review accrued use tax and prepare use tax correction upload files.
• Assist with internal and external audit.
• Maintain SOX-compliant documentation
• Participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required and master’s degree is a plus.
• SAP experience is a must, Sales and Use tax and Blackline experience are preferred.
• Accounting certification as a certified public accountant (CPA) is a plus.
• The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of recent work experience in a related field.
• Self-motivated with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and SAP.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
