Our client, a well-established, full-service CPA firm in Troy, Michigan, is looking to hire 1–2 Staff Accountants to join their team. If you are early in your public accounting career and looking for more than just a siloed desk job, this is your next big step.

What You’ll Do

Your work will span multiple service areas, including:

• Preparing individual, corporate, partnership, estate, and trust tax returns

• Assisting with tax planning and projections for individuals and businesses

• Participating in audits, reviews, and compilation engagements

• Researching federal, state, and local tax matters

• Supporting multi-state tax filings

• Assisting with IRS, state, and local tax notices

• Performing bookkeeping and QuickBooks consulting for clients

• Collaborating closely with senior accountants and partners to deliver accurate, timely work

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• 2+ years of experience in a CPA firm environment

• Exposure to both tax and audit work

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations

• Experience with compilations, reviews, or audits

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines

Nice to Have:

• CPA or actively CPA-track

• 3–7 years of public accounting experience

• QuickBooks experience

• Experience with multi-state filings
