Staff Accountant

Remote | DMV Area Preferred

$80,000 - $95,000 Base Salary

Our client, a high-growth public company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its expanding accounting organization.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced accounting leadership and contribute across multiple areas of the accounting function, including month-end close, financial reporting support, reconciliations, accruals, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process
• Support general ledger accounting activities, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
• Assist with payroll-related accounting and cash management activities
• Support external audit requests and financial reporting requirements
• Participate in ongoing process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years of accounting experience
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Audit or assurance experience highly desirable
• CPA eligible or actively pursuing CPA certification is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
