JOB SUMMARY

Currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. Duties include completing monthly accounting records, reviewing journal entries, and guiding clerical staff while abiding GAAP guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ensure timeliness of the month end close process and completeness and accuracy of accounting records in accordance with US GAAP

• Perform and properly documenting general journal entries.

• Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements for month end close

• Partner with Purchasing and Supply Chain department to validate and audit product cost on vendor invoices

• Partner with Operations and Business Optimization teams to coordinate, monitor and record physical inventories, including participation in physical inventory.

• Calculate labor and overhead allocations.

• Guides clerical staff in Accounts Receivable by coordinating activities and answering questions.

• Ensure all invoices have appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.

• Manages the weekly payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.

• Manages the Accounts Payable ledger to ensure payables are not s past due

• Manage daily activities of Accounts Payable staff, including weekly vendors payments

• Fixed Asset Schedules Maintenance

• Compile annual personal property information by location/entity.

• Monitoring internal control procedures.

• Prepare audit selections and workpapers for auditor review.

• Produce ad hoc reporting as requested.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. 

• Must have at least 3-6 years of accounting experience. Experience in the construction industry preferred.

• Advanced MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) demonstrated on resume.

• Financial analysis skills and working knowledge of US GAAP.

• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems
