Do you love when the numbers balance? Do you work with fixed assets and capital? We should talk...MaineHealth is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant who knows their way around a busy month-end close and enjoys digging in to figure out why the numbers don’t quite add up.

In this role, you’ll handle a high volume of journal entries, accruals, reclasses, account reconciliations, and variance analysis while researching and resolving issues that come up during the close process. You’ll take ownership of balance sheet accounts, juggle multiple deadlines, and work independently while being part of a collaborative accounting team.

We’re looking for someone with strong general accounting experience, great attention to detail, and the ability to keep things moving in a fast-paced environment. Fixed asset experience is a plus, and as a senior member of the team, you may also have the opportunity to share your knowledge and mentor Staff Accountants along the way.

If you enjoy solving accounting puzzles, taking ownership of your work, and ending the month with everything exactly where it belongs, this could be a great next move. And one more great perk — this position is fully remote.
