Senior Accountant

Job Description

Pinnacle partners is partnered with a client in New York (Astoria) hiring a Senior Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support junior accounting staff.
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to leadership.
• Assist with annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Help develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and address audit findings.
• Oversee complex account reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with departments to improve financial processes.
• Assist with special projects and other accounting duties as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Knowledge of OCC regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, advanced Excel, FIS (Horizon), and BankTel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to prioritize changing responsibilities.
