The Role

The Senior Accountant is part of the Corporate Accounting Team supporting day-to-day accounting operations. The role is responsible for preparing and managing financial activities, including producing monthly financial statements as well as preparing account reconciliations. The position also includes partnering with various other departments of the company and assisting with various special projects.

Points of responsibility include:

• Perform the day-to-day activities related to the monthly, quarterly and annual closes including initiating journal entries by compiling and analyzing accounting information and preparing accruals associated with key accounts
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and analyzing income statement accounts
• Perform intercompany transactions
• Partner with FP&A to perform close activities and review/understand key drivers of the results
• Implement and enforce accounting policies and best practices ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.
• Partner with operations, purchasing, HR, customer service and sales to ensure accurate accounting and support business initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement across the accounting function by identifying and implementing process enhancements that increase efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and timeliness
• Leverage AI, automation tools, system integrations, APIs, and workflow technologies to reduce manual work, improve data quality, and streamline accounting operations
• Support year-end audit
• Other tasks and duties based upon business needs

Required Skills/Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in accounting
• High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in an efficient, effective and organized manner
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting including GAAP research tools and FASB codification
• Excellent communication skills; able to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial teams
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principles
• Aspirations for continuous improvement
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially excel
• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems, preferably NetSuite
• CPA preferred but not required.

• Normal Business Hours – M-F
