Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in business or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years recent Payroll work experience within a public company work environment coordinating Payroll activities, service, and support
• Proven hands on working knowledge of Payroll, data management, internal controls and compliance requirements
• Proven hands on work experience utilizing UKG Pro Payroll Systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and advanced Excel
• Accuracy and detailed-oriented with strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
• Advanced customer service skills while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a demanding environment
• Schedule flexibility as required to support Payroll needs
• Proven ability to work independently and within a cohesive team environment
• Proven ability to build and maintain positive and effective work relationships with all parties
• Adaptive with a strong desire for learning new skills and supporting change
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written English fluency
• Operate at the highest standards of business ethics, honesty, and personal integrity.
• Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
• May be required to pass security clearance investigation.

Responsibilities

Please note this is a temporary position.  If offered the position, you will be employed by a third party provider to Bruker.

New temporary project hybrid opportunity based in Billerica MA for a Senior Payroll Administrator to coordinate with the Payroll Team on the processing of all aspects of a bi‐weekly, multi‐state payroll for approximately 2,100 non‐union US and Canada employees.  The successful candidate will hold strong technical payroll knowledge, excellent analytical and reconciliation skills, a commitment to internal controls, and the ability to manage sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner.

• Participate in the biweekly processing of payroll and data management
• Process timecards and worksheets to ensure accurate and timely payroll based on defined deadlines.
• Monitor automatic data imports from the HR eView system. Manually import other changes as required.
• Ensure accuracy of payroll records by maintaining or validating the database with updates in status changes, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, time off accruals, and other related items
• Create off cycle manual payroll checks as needed.
• Provide support for employees with individual access to the UKG Pro Payroll and Time Management systems and other general payroll questions.
• Perform frequent audits between systems to ensure information is captured correctly in UKG Pro (deduction records for 401k, address for work location and taxation)
• Maintain and coordinate with UKG Tax Service for all state, city, and county tax filings to ensure withholdings are remitted timely and accurately, reconciling to the payroll registers and general ledger transactions.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment and highest level of confidentiality.
• Communicate effectively while collaborating with Human Resources and Finance to ensure completeness of payroll processes.
• Assist with bi-weekly payroll reporting and month end accrual reporting.
