Senior Manager, Procurement (License & Service)

Responsibilities

• Lead practical aspects of the procurement team and coordinate various tasks in the following areas:
• Procurement of software, cloud services, general external services, intellectual property (IP) and license-related services used in internal business operations.
• Confirmation of requirements, terms of use, scope of contract, budget, and schedule in collaboration with requesting departments.
• Market research, supplier search/evaluation, request for quotation, price/contract term comparison/negotiation, and ordering procedures.
• Optimization of contract types, usage quantities, pricing structures, and renewal/cancellation terms for new and renewed software/cloud services.
• Adjustment of scope of work, deliverables, unit prices, acceptance conditions, etc., for outsourced projects such as consulting, system development/operation support.
• Contract/risk review, supplier management, expenditure analysis, and promotion of procurement strategy/business improvement in cooperation with Legal, Information Security, Intellectual Property, Accounting, etc.
• Global procurement in collaboration with procurement departments of overseas bases and affiliates.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in procurement, purchasing, contract management, or vendor management.
• Work experience related to any of the following: software, SaaS, IT services, general external services, IP/licenses.
• Ability to read, compare, and organize key points from quotations, proposals, scopes of work, and major contract terms.
• Ability to smoothly coordinate with clients and stakeholders such as Legal, Information Security, Intellectual Property, and Accounting.
• Negotiation skills with suppliers regarding price, delivery dates, scope of work, and contract terms.
• Basic skills in expenditure/price analysis and document creation using Excel or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Procurement experience in software licenses/SaaS, IT services, consulting, development/operation outsourcing, or IP-related services.
• Practical experience with contracts such as license agreements, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and statements of work (SOW).
• Experience in cost optimization through appropriate usage quantity management, contract consolidation, competitive purchasing, etc.
• Experience in category strategy, supplier evaluation, expenditure analysis, and procurement process improvement.
• Knowledge of risk review related to information security, personal information protection, subcontracting, and intellectual property rights.
• Experience obtaining quotations, confirming contracts, and communicating with suppliers or overseas entities in English.
