The new system will be used by more than 20,000 employees daily, is foundational to all AZ entities and is central to most core business processes. The S/4HANA & Indirect Procurement IT Business Analyst plays a meaningful role in supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of AstraZeneca's global procurement platforms and processes. Working within the Procurement and Enterprise Technology organisation, the role supports the analysis, documentation, testing, deployment and optimization of solutions across SAP S/4HANA and associated non-SAP procurement applications. The Business Analyst will partner with Product Managers, Product Experts, Enterprise Business Partners and business partners to understand business requirements, document functional needs, support process harmonisation and ensure solutions are aligned with AstraZeneca's global standards and fit-to-standard principles. The role supports activities across the end-to-end Source-to-Pay and Supplier Collaboration landscape, including SAP S/4HANA Procurement and Accounts Payable processes as well as key procurement applications such as Coupa, One Network, CyberGrants, IQVIA, Taulia, Workday and Concur. The individual will contribute to solution testing, data migration activities, release management, deployment preparation and hypercare support while ensuring compliance with AstraZeneca quality and governance standards. What you’ll do Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements for procurement and supplier management capabilities. Support the design and continuous improvement of global Purchase-to-Pay processes. Collaborate with Product Experts and technical teams to translate business requirements into solution specifications. Support SAP S/4HANA Procurement and Accounts Payable process activities including requisitions, purchase orders, supplier collaboration, invoicing and payment processes. Support requirements and process analysis for non-SAP procurement systems including Coupa, CyberGrants, One Network, IQVIA and Taulia. Assist with data migration, master data creation and validation activities. Support system integration, user acceptance testing, regression testing and defect management activities. Participate in release planning, deployment activities and hypercare support. Work closely with business partners to find opportunities for process simplification, automation and standardisation. Support issue investigation and resolution across the procurement application landscape. Ensure solutions and documentation meet AstraZeneca compliance, validation and governance standards. Report progress, risks, issues and dependencies to project and product leadership teams. Essential for the role Experience as a Business Analyst supporting procurement, finance or supply chain processes Experience working with SAP Procurement, S/4HANA or ERP solutions Experience gathering and documenting business requirements Understanding of Source-to-Pay and supplier management processes Experience supporting testing and deployment activities Strong partner management and communication skills Experience working within Agile delivery teams Knowledge of Source-to-Pay indirect procurement processes. Understanding of SAP S/4HANA Procurement and Accounts Payable concepts. Experience creating business & technical requirements and process documentation. Knowledge of testing methodologies and defect management. Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow or similar tools. Ability to analyse business data and process performance metrics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated and capable of handling multiple priorities. Effective communicator with both business and technical partners. Comfortable working in evolving and ambiguous environments. Good attention to detail and documentation quality. Desirable for the role Knowledge of procurement integrations and supplier collaboration platforms. Understanding of API and middleware concepts. Exposure to SAP Business Network and SAP Fiori applications.
