Job Description

The Senior Lead, Procurement Excellence & Market Intelligence plays a critical role in advancing the effectiveness, capabilities, and strategic impact of the Procurement and Logistics organization. This position is responsible for developing category market intelligence, leading procurement and logistics onboarding and capability development programs, managing procurement learning tools and methodologies, owning organizational communications and recognition programs, and driving high-priority strategic initiatives.

The role serves as a central resource for category teams, procurement leaders, and logistics stakeholders by delivering actionable market insights, enhancing organizational capabilities, promoting best practices, and supporting continuous improvement. The ideal candidate combines procurement expertise, analytical rigor, project leadership, strong communication skills, and a passion for organizational development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Category Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights

• Develop and maintain a structured market intelligence program supporting key procurement categories.
• Monitor supplier markets, commodity trends, cost drivers, technology developments, supply-demand dynamics, capacity constraints, and geopolitical risks.
• Produce regular market intelligence reports, category updates, and executive-ready summaries.
• Support category managers and sourcing teams with market research, supplier landscape analysis, benchmarking, and competitive intelligence.
• Identify emerging risks and opportunities that may impact category strategies and sourcing decisions.
• Develop and maintain category intelligence repositories, dashboards, and knowledge resources.
• Partner with category managers and procurement leadership to translate market intelligence into actionable sourcing recommendations.
• Support executive reviews and business planning efforts with market and industry insights.

Procurement & Logistics Capability Development

• Design, implement, and continuously improve onboarding and capability development programs for Procurement and Logistics team members.
• Develop and maintain training curricula supporting key procurement and logistics competencies, including:

• Facilitate training sessions, workshops, learning forums, and knowledge-sharing events.
• Establish role-based learning paths and career development frameworks.
• Partner with functional leaders to identify capability gaps and development priorities.
• Measure and report training effectiveness, participation, and capability improvement outcomes.
• Manage procurement and logistics knowledge management resources, templates, playbooks, and best-practice content.

Procurement Learning Tools & Methods

• Serve as the business owner for procurement and logistics training platforms, learning tools, capability assessments, and development methodologies.
• Maintain and enhance onboarding materials, learning content, training resources, and knowledge repositories.
• Evaluate and implement new learning technologies, digital content solutions, and knowledge-sharing approaches.
• Promote adoption of standardized procurement methodologies, tools, and best practices through training and education.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by documenting processes, updating playbooks, and incorporating lessons learned into training materials.
• Ensure learning content remains current with evolving business needs, market conditions, and procurement practices.

Organizational Communications & Recognition

• Own the monthly Procurement and Logistics Key Progress Update (KPU) process.
• Collect, validate, and synthesize updates from category teams, procurement operations, logistics teams, and functional stakeholders.
• Develop executive-ready communications highlighting accomplishments, cost savings, supplier achievements, market developments, risk mitigation activities, capability-building initiatives, and strategic priorities.
• Manage distribution of monthly updates to Procurement and Logistics employees, leadership, and key business stakeholders.
• Continuously improve communication formats, content quality, and reporting mechanisms to increase stakeholder engagement and visibility.
• Develop presentations, newsletters, leadership messages, and communication materials that reinforce organizational priorities and successes.
• Lead the Procurement and Logistics recognition program, including nomination processes, award criteria, selection governance, and recognition communications.
• Partner with Procurement and Logistics leadership to foster a culture of engagement, collaboration, continuous improvement, and recognition.
• Develop programs that celebrate individual, team, and organizational accomplishments while reinforcing desired behaviors and values.

Strategic Projects & Continuous Improvement

• Lead special projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of Procurement and Logistics leadership.
• Support procurement transformation efforts, organizational effectiveness initiatives, and operating model improvements.
• Conduct research, benchmarking, financial analysis, and business case development related to strategic priorities.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and other business partners.
• Develop executive presentations, recommendations, project updates, and leadership communications.
• Track project milestones, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and stakeholder experience.
• Support annual planning, strategic reviews, and other leadership-driven initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strong relationships across Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and business functions.
• Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing across global teams.
• Serve as a trusted resource for market intelligence, training, communications, and best practices.
• Influence stakeholders through data-driven insights, effective communication, and strong project leadership.
• Promote alignment across teams by ensuring consistent messaging, transparency, and knowledge dissemination.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, supply chain, consulting, organizational development, or related business functions.
• Experience supporting category strategies through market research and data-driven analysis.
• Demonstrated experience developing training programs, onboarding processes, organizational capability initiatives, or learning content.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Advanced analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, reporting tools, and data visualization platforms.

PREFERRED:

• MBA or advanced degree.
• CPSM, ISM, CIPS, PMP, or related professional certification.
• Experience in technology, electronics, semiconductor, manufacturing, or other complex global supply chain environments.
• Experience supporting procurement transformation, procurement excellence, or change management initiatives.
• Experience with learning management systems, knowledge management tools, and internal communications programs.

Compensation & Benefits Details

• An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
• The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York.  This range may be modified in the future.
• You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.  Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
