The Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial Finance supports FTI’s most significant commercial pursuits and long-term agreements by translating operating assumptions, delivery plans, and contract terms into decision-quality financial analysis. The role owns front-end models and executive materials from initial evaluation through commercial close and project launch, partnering across the business to clarify economics, surface risk, and improve pricing, cash flow, deal structure, and returns.
Ideal candidate will have advanced financial modeling capability in Excel, including integrated cash flow, working capital, return, scenario, and sensitivity analysis. Will also have strong understanding of financial statements, margin drivers, cash conversion, NPV, IRR, payback, and capital investment analysis. Will have ability to interpret complex commercial agreements and connect contract terms to financial and operating outcomes, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly to senior leaders and non-finance partners. Will have demonstrated attention to detail, model discipline, and ability to manage multiple high-priority assignments in an ambiguous environment. Prefer demonstrated advanced proficiency using artificial intelligence tools to enhance financial modeling, analysis, reporting, and workflow efficiency.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience: 4 or more years of progressive experience in commercial finance, FP&A, pricing, project finance, transaction finance, corporate development, or a related analytical role. Prefer experience supporting large, capital-intensive projects or multi-year commercial agreements in construction, manufacturing, electrical, energy, infrastructure, data centers, or a related industry as well as experience with pricing strategy, contract economics, customer diligence, or commercial negotiations.
Travel: 5%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Builds and maintains integrated, multi-year financial models for major pursuits and long-term agreements, including revenue, volume and ramp assumptions, pricing, labor, materials, design and engineering, manufacturing or installation costs, capital requirements, working capital, cash flow, margin, and returns.
- Models installation, product, service, and asset economics separately when needed so leaders can understand where value is created, where risk is concentrated, and how results change across volume scenarios.
- Evaluates alternative pricing and commercial structures, including volume commitments, escalation mechanisms, payment timing, milestone billing, cost pass-through provisions, capital recovery, and other terms that materially affect profitability or cash flow.
- Performs sensitivity, scenario, break-even, and downside analysis across pricing, volume, productivity, material inflation, project timing, capital deployment, working capital, and other critical assumptions.
- Supports customer, counterparty, and concentration-risk diligence by gathering financial and market information, assessing exposure, and incorporating findings into models and recommendations.
- Reviews contract terms with Legal and business partners to ensure the financial model reflects the proposed agreement and to identify gaps between modeled assumptions, negotiated terms, and operational commitments.
- Prepares concise pre-award and executive decision materials that communicate the opportunity, assumptions, economics, sensitivities, risks, and recommended actions before final pricing and contracting.
- Coordinates Finance inputs through contract execution, maintain clear assumption and model version control, and support the handoff of approved pursuits to operating teams through project launch.
- Establishes financial baselines and support bid-to-actual reviews, translating performance results into better assumptions, pricing practices, and commercial decisions on future pursuits.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
