Work Type: Onsite Job Description: Overview & Responsibilities:

CBS TV Stations is seeking a detail-oriented and strategically minded Sr. Financial Analyst.
The Sr. Financial Analyst will perform a variety of financial activities, including assisting with the financial planning and budgeting processes, forecasting, building financial models, preparing reports and presentations, and performing research and analysis using large data sets.
The ideal candidate is well organized, solution-oriented, and able to take action in a fast-paced environment.
This role will report to the Senior Manager of Finance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Create financial models and perform complex scenario analysis for projects across multiple business units in the TV Stations division
Collaborate with each TV station on the monthly forecast and assist in the development and preparation of the annual budget, long-range financial plan and any other ad hoc analysis and corporate submissions
Assist in the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, variance analysis and consolidation
Assist in the management of capital expenditure requests, reporting and project tracking
Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
Perform some accounts payable duties such as reviewing and reconciling invoices, code documents to G/L accounts, processing expense reports, and other duties as assigned
Assist FP&A leaders in preparing presentations and other key materials for both the CBS TV Stations executive team

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required with a focus in Finance or Accounting
4-5+ years in financial planning with forecasting and budgeting experience

Additional Qualifications:

Exceptional Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling skills
Strong comprehension of corporate finance concepts and accounting principles
Proactive, motivated person with multi-tasking abilities to manage competing priorities and capable of discerning when issues need to be escalated
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail with well-developed problem-solving and critical thinking ability
Ability to work in a team environment while working individually on multiple tasks
Working knowledge of the Oracle, SAP, Fusion or other financial planning tools
A strong desire to learn about the Media industry and CBS businesses
