Senior Director, Controller

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Director, Controller to lead Anduril’s global controllership and help support our hyper-growth and scale. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Accounting, you will oversee accounting operations across both domestic and international entities, audit execution, operational accounting policies, and the M&A integration team for the accounting organization. We are looking for someone that is equally passionate and adept at managing people, process, and systems.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Lead and Scale the Global Controllership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing, multi-disciplinary accounting organization spanning domestic and international accounting as well as M&A integration.
• Financial Close & Core Accounting Operations: Oversee the end-to-end global financial close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, order management, cost accounting, and revenue operations.
• International Accounting: Direct and support regional accounting operations and compliance across growing international entities, including EMEA, APAC, and the UK.
• M&A Accounting Integration: Partner closely with the Director, M&A Accounting to ensure seamless integration of acquired entities, closing/opening balance sheet crosswalks, and operational onboarding into Anduril’s ecosystem.
• Global Audits & Compliance: Manage the execution of the annual consolidated group audit, component audits, and regional statutory audits across all domestic and international entities, partnering closely with external auditors to ensure timely, efficient, and clean deliverables.
• Systems & Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement, automation, and scalability across Anduril’s modern ERP ecosystem (Oracle Fusion) and connected boundary systems.
• Internal Controls & Governance: Establish, enhance, and maintain robust accounting policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures to support rapid business expansion and potential future public company requirements.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Build highly effective working relationships with key leadership across Technical Accounting & Reporting, Government Financial Operations, Tax, FP&A, Legal, and CorpTech.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: 12+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant leadership experience (Controller / Assistant Controller level) in high-growth technology, manufacturing, or defense environments.
• Team Leadership: Proven track record of leading, scaling, and mentoring large, geographically distributed accounting teams with high EQ and strong communication skills.
• Operational & Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of US GAAP, operational accounting workflows (GL, AP, AR, Revenue, Inventory/Cost), international entity management, and M&A integration.
• Systems Experience: Strong background in leveraging and optimizing enterprise ERP ecosystems (such as Oracle Fusion) and modern boundary tools.
• Execution & Strategic Vision: Able to get your hands dirty to drive execution while maintaining the ability to manage high-level strategic priorities in a fast-paced organization.
• Education & Certifications: CPA (active or inactive) and/or MBA is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.
