Job Summary
We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to help keep our financial operations running smoothly. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting monthly and annual financial close processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and enjoys improving processes while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintaining supporting schedules (fixed assets, accruals, etc)
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide recommendations to management.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Prepare and file sales tax and other regulatory filings as required.
- Support coordination with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners during audits and annual filings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.
- Partner with department leaders to monitor budgets and provide financial guidance.
- Assist with purchasing, procurement, and expense management processes.
- Participate in special projects, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives to support company growth. (ERP and software integration, systems improvement, etc.)
Qualifications and Skills
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks (preferred)
- Experience supporting audits and tax preparation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
