Our client, a growing subcontractor located in Sacramento, CA, is seeking a Senior Accountant. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing general accounting tasks, supporting month-end close, and ensuring the integrity of financial information. The Senior Staff Accountant works closely with the accounting team to prepare financial statements, support accounts payable and receivable, assist with audits and tax preparation, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Pay: is $110K/Year.
- Role is Direct Hire that is100% Onsite
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including journal entries and month-end close.
- Process invoices, manage vendor statements, and support accounts payable/receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts, resolve discrepancies, and support audits and tax preparation.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Maintain accurate payroll data and coordinate system updates with IT and payroll vendors.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle confidential financial and payroll information with discretion.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Construction or manufacturing experience is a plus
- 3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism.
