Job Responsibilities
Prepare and post monthly journal entries and actively support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Reconcile and analyze assigned balance sheet and P&L accounts in accordance with GAAP, identifying and resolving variances
Review and interpret financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper classification
Partner with FP&A to investigate and explain variances between actual results, budget, and prior year performance
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all variances are appropriately researched and documented
Support the resolution of open items in the Cash Clearing account, ensuring timely and accurate application
Own and manage ASC 842 lease accounting, including ongoing accounting, reconciliations, and reporting for all lease arrangements
Ensure adherence to established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Assist in the implementation and execution of key controls and process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
Respond to information requests and support both internal and external audit processes
Prepare and deliver financial reports and analytical insights to support business decision-making
Identify and drive process improvement opportunities related to month-end close, expense management, and cost optimization initiatives
Participate in special projects and ad hoc analysis as assigned by the Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Corporate Controller
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience required
Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience
Experience supporting month-end close, including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Working knowledge of GAAP
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
CPA designation
Experience with Workday and BlackLine
Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting
