These values guide every decision, interaction, and commitment made within our organization.---Position SummaryThe Procurement Support Specialist supports fabrication buyout activities for services, materials, coatings, freight, and related project needs. The role prepares documentation, maintains purchase order and procurement data, monitors available budget against committed and projected costs, and communicates cost concerns to the team responsible for vendor selection, work assignment, and purchasing decisions. This position does not independently award work, make purchasing commitments, create project budgets, or approve buyout decisions.Key Responsibilities · Prepare buyout documentation, quote comparisons, vendor information, and data needed for pricing and delivery decisions. · Enter and maintain purchase order, procurement, vendor, and delivery information in company systems. · Monitor available budget, committed cost, and projected cost to complete for project buyout areas. · Identify and communicate budget gaps, cost increases, and other buyout concerns. · Coordinate with the buyout team, Budget Managers, Project Managers, Fabrication Management, and Accounting to keep procurement and cost information current.Required Qualifications · 5+ years of experience in procurement support, purchasing administration, fabrication, construction, project controls, or supply chain coordination. · Experience with purchase orders, vendor documentation, data entry, and tracking available budget, committed cost, and cost to complete. · Understanding of fabrication operations and steel construction. · Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and documentation skills, with proficiency in Excel and procurement management systems.Preferred Qualifications · Experience in structural steel fabrication, steel construction, or subcontract fabrication buyouts. Knowledge of steel materials, coatings, freight, and fabrication processes. · Experience with ERP, PowerFab, FabSuite, or similar systems.Critical Success Factors · Accurate, timely buyout documentation, purchase order entry, and procurement records. · Current visibility into vendor status, available budget, committed cost, and projected cost to complete. · Early communication of cost risks and reliable support for informed procurement decisions.Wage: Depends on experience
