Support service employees assist entrepreneurs in achieving their dreams through finance, accounting, IT, and other back-office operations. Internship Summary The Winsupply Internship Program offers students a unique opportunity to build valuable skills through immersive classroom learning, off-site training, and a collaborative capstone project. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join Winsupply Sourcing Services (WSS). Our customer base consists of aspiring entrepreneurs who own and operate their own wholesale distribution businesses, now over 680 businesses nationwide. Therefore, this job provides the opportunity to have a direct impact in the success of entrepreneurial small businesses across the United States. In this role, you will manage the WSS inventory process, including procurement, management, and reverse logistics, within a designated industry and Service Sector. Key Job Responsibilities Vendor & Supply Chain Management Build and manage vendor relationships for all non-trade material suppliers, including packaging, shipping supplies, pallets, and office consumables. Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and service levels to ensure continuous availability of essential facility materials. System and Workflow Execution Utilize WSS purchasing systems (e.g., WISE, WMi, Trucommerce, Minedxai) to process purchase orders, manage non-trade item master data, and update delivery schedules. Resolve product shortages, shipping damages, and invoice discrepancies in close coordination with DC receiving teams and external vendors. DC Operational Support Partner proactively with DC leaders to forecast supply needs (e.g., boxes, pallets, clear wrap) and prevent operational disruptions. Hold oneself to WSS service standards, accomplishing expected fill rate, inventory turn, and DOH metrics.
