Our Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist and/or Supply Chain Procurement Specialist (Buyer Level 3 or 2) to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals in Oklahoma City, OK.
Essential Functions:
- Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers
- Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers
- In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules
- Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required
- Identifies opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations
- Issues purchase orders
- Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations
- Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities
- Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded
- Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed
- Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement
Position(s) may be filled as a Level 3 or Level 2 based on the qualifications outlined below.
Basic Qualifications (Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist - Level 3):
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience, a Master's degree with 3 years of experience or a High School diploma/equivalent with 9 years of experience in global supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or forecast and inventory cost management.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office to create spreadsheets, documents, presentations. (i.e. Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- The ability to collaborate with program management and other multi-functional teams
- Possess strong organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, work successfully in a fast- paced environment and apply sound judgment to problem solving
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S Government Secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain special program access
- Knowledge of FAR/DFAR
- Knowledge of CPSR and government audits
- US Citizenship required
Basic Qualifications (Supply Chain Procurement Specialist - Level 2):
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience, or a Master's degree or a High School diploma/equivalent with 6 years of related experience in global supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or forecast and inventory cost management.
- Prior Government or Aerospace buying experience
- Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office to create spreadsheets, documents, presentations. (i.e. Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- The ability to collaborate with program management and other multi-functional teams
- Possess strong organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, work successfully in a fast- paced environment and apply sound judgment to problem solving
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S Government Secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain special program access
- US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications for both:
- Aerospace/Defense industry experience
- Price analysis experience
- Negotiation experience
- Managing Suppliers
- Background in government procurement with familiarity of FAR/DFARS
- Import / Export (ITAR) experience for movement of materials and technology
- Familiar with SAP/S4 and/or Maximo procurement systems
- Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance
