Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Procurement Specialist in our Columbia, MD, Washington D.C., or Pennington, NJ office. The opportunity to work fully remote or a hybrid work schedule may be available for this position at the discretion of the Company. The position will Develop compliant, comprehensive, and compelling submittals (proposals and opportunity-specific statements of qualifications (SOQs)) on a regional or corporate level in order to win profitable work. Responsible for managing, scheduling, editing, and producing proposals, opportunity-related SOQs, project descriptions, resumes, and other marketing materials in accordance with Geosyntec’s policies, government regulations and copyright laws. Work requires the exercise of considerable initiative and independent judgment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the Region’s procurement platform initiatives (identify platforms, register and maintain accounts, select appropriate categories, monitor email/solicitation details, coordinate with appropriate technical staff for go/no-go bid opportunities);
• Maintain and update internal opportunity tracking systems with accurate data, contacts, and pursuit status;
• Partner with regional operation leadership teams to facilitate the identification of target clients and market sectors and ensure appropriate bid notification coverage;
• Screen and distribute bid opportunities to appropriate senior service directors and practitioners;
• Partner with practitioners in developing pursuit plans and client outreach activities ahead of RFP release;
• Conduct research related to competitors/incumbents; past, current, and prospective markets; and relevant corporate experience;
• Conduct research on client organizations, regulatory drivers and funding indicators;
• Participate in Go/No-Go decision-making by providing relevant client intelligence and opportunity context;
• Conduct internal research highlighting positive performance metrics for use in proposals, qualifications, and other sales/marketing materials;
• Prepare summaries and reports on opportunity pipelines, client engagement metrics, and market trends;
• Perform special projects and related work as required.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in marketing, analytics, business administration, data science, communications, or public relations with four (4) years or more progressive professional experience in marketing, sales operations, business development; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the responsibilities of the position. • Working knowledge of the following Microsoft Office. (required)
• Copilot, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint. Proficiency in CRM applications, artificial intelligence (AI) tools, research tools, and knowledge of bid procurement platforms. (required)
• Possess an understanding and/or experience of the RFQ/RFP process, and federal, state and local procurement procedures.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of synthesizing data to inform strategic pursuits and tactical client engagement.

This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

• Minimum Salary: $72,875 /year / Maximum Salary: $109,315 /year (Columbia, MD)
• Minimum Salary: $76,345 /year / Maximum Salary: $114,520 /year (Washington, D.C, Pennington, NJ)
