Payroll Temp / Payroll Assistant
- Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Assignment Length: Approximately 3–4 months
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Temp / Payroll Assistant to support our Payroll Technicians with day-to-day payroll and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential payroll information with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify invoices and prepare checks for payment.
- Respond to inquiries from employees and outside agencies regarding payroll and related matters.
- Prepare biweekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, schedules, and other information related to benefits and payroll.
- Complete wage verifications and various surveys for government agencies.
- Maintain accurate and organized payroll records and documentation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and ability to maintain a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule.
