Payroll Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience using Paycor and a strong understanding of payroll processing, compliance, and employee payroll support.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the company's weekly payroll process from start to finish.
• Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
• Manage and maintain employee payroll information in Paycor.
• Review payroll for accuracy, including hours, overtime, bonuses, deductions, commissions, and other adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Manage payroll tax filings, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Prepare payroll reports and provide payroll-related information to management and HR.
• Work closely with HR and managers to resolve payroll issues and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2s and other required reporting.
• Stay current on changes in payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Provide support and guidance to employees regarding payroll questions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll management or payroll processing experience.
• 2+ years degree in accounting is preferred
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Paycor is required.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing and payroll tax requirements.
• Experience managing payroll for a multi-state workforce is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Previous HRIS experience is a plus.

The successful candidate will be someone who is highly organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of the entire payroll process. Experience with Paycor is especially important for this position.
