The Payroll Clerk is responsible for performing the clerical and administrative tasks that support accurate and timely payroll processing at Frontline Health Staffing. This role focuses on collecting, entering, and verifying time and attendance data, maintaining payroll records, and assisting the payroll team in ensuring employees are paid correctly and on schedule. The Payroll Clerk works closely with Human Resources, payroll staff, facility leadership, and field employees to keep payroll information complete, organized, and compliant.

The Payroll Clerk also supports the organization by ensuring payroll data is handled with accuracy and confidentiality and that all timekeeping and payroll activities align with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth day-to-day payroll operations and upholding the company’s reputation for reliable, high-quality staffing solutions. This is a fully on-site, in-person position; remote work is not available.


Qualifications

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with additional coursework in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred. A minimum of 1 year of experience in payroll support, data entry, bookkeeping, or general clerical and administrative work is preferred, ideally within a healthcare or staffing environment. Prior exposure to payroll or timekeeping systems is a plus.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid working knowledge of basic payroll and timekeeping procedures and a general familiarity with wage and hour requirements. Strong data-entry accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional, dependable demeanor are required. Proficiency with payroll or HRIS systems and standard computer applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is expected. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage routine payroll tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment are critical.
