The Role: Payroll Clerk
As our Payroll Clerk, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our employees are taken care of. Your meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills will keep our payroll process accurate, timely, and compliant. You’ll be the go-to person for payroll inquiries, helping our team feel confident and supported.
What You’ll Do
- Process weekly payrolls for all employees with accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes.
- Verify timesheets, overtime, and leave balances using payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar).
- Calculate and process deductions such as taxes, benefits, and garnishments.
- Prepare payroll reports for management and finance teams.
- Assist with year-end tasks, including issuing W-2 forms and reconciling payroll accounts.
- Respond promptly and professionally to employee payroll inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of experience in payroll processing or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
