Job Summary

Under the direction of the Chief Business Official, coordinates the activities of payroll processing, retirement and tax reporting, benefit administration and employee leave tracking. Provides training and guidance to all County, District and Charter School payroll department personnel. Performs complex professional and technical duties, including but not limited to, directing staff, auditing payroll, compiling and reporting retirement and tax obligations and preparation of specialized reports. The position requires a comprehensive knowledge of payroll, tax and financial principles to exercise independent judgment to assist with and resolve complex payroll related problems.

These requirements must be met prior to beginning employment and will be requested upon job offer acceptance. • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States • Must hold a valid California Driver’s License • Must provide proof of automobile insurance coverage • Fingerprint and Background clearance • Valid Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
