THE ROLE
Reporting to the Payroll Director within Shared Services, the Payroll Assistant helps support daily payroll operations and ensures employees receive timely assistance. This role interacts with employees across the organization and requires strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Monitor and respond to payroll-related phone calls and emails.
Direct inquiries to the appropriate team members when needed.
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail daily.
Maintain the confidentiality and security of payroll information.
Provide administrative support to the payroll team.
Assist employees by answering questions and resolving basic payroll-related concerns.
Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent customer service skills with a professional and helpful approach.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
