Payroll and Benefits Specialist

Required Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience with payroll software. Financial and HR certifications a plus. Job Type: Full-time This position is a mix of on-site and remote. Benefits:

- Complete payroll on a biweekly basis. Including any garnishments
- Ensure all benefit and enrollment forms are received and completed completely
- HIPPA compliance officer with sponsored benefits
- Open enrollment benefits for all staff
- Document and coordinate all FMLA and leaves
- Maintain tuition reimbursement program
- Flexibility to complete hands-on HR Generalist duties as needed
- Follow agency protocols and meet HR documentation compliance
- Utilize computer and appropriate HR software for documentation and reporting
- Track unemployment and workers’ compensation
- Serve on the agency’s wellness committee
- Assist Chief Human Resource Officer with employee relations and employee performance systems
- Must be very detail oriented and competent with record compliance
- Technically proficient a must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Certification in Finance and/or Human Resources a plus
- Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience in an HR/Finance department
- Adept with technology and oral/written communications
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled in using computer software applications such as Microsoft Office, Paycor experience a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail required
