Payroll Analyst – Workday | U.S. Payroll

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day operations of the U.S. Payroll team and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Process and support employee payroll transactions related to:
- New hires
- Terminations
- Leaves of Absence (LOA)
- Benefits and payroll deductions
- Employee data changes
- Relocations
- Expatriate payroll activities
- Payroll and tax inquiries
- Review payroll data and employee information for accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, data issues, and employee payroll questions.
- Monitor and respond to cases through the Employee Service Center/ticketing system.
- Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance, Tax, Global Mobility, and other internal teams to resolve payroll-related issues.
- Apply knowledge of U.S. payroll tax and labor requirements to day-to-day payroll activities.
- Ensure payroll processes follow Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and applicable finance policies, including the Controller's Manual.
- Assist with payroll reconciliations, reporting, audits, and compliance activities.
- Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation and protect confidential employee and payroll information.
- Manage multiple priorities and payroll deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Support payroll process improvements and other team initiatives as needed.
- 5+ years of payroll experience, preferably supporting U.S. payroll.
- Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll – required.
- Strong understanding of U.S. payroll processing and payroll operations.
- Experience supporting employee lifecycle payroll transactions, including:
- New hires
- Terminations
- LOA
- Benefits
- Employee changes
- Relocations
- Expatriate payroll
- Working knowledge of U.S. payroll taxes and labor law requirements.
- Experience handling payroll-related employee inquiries and service/ticketing cases.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis, and reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Visio.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to payroll accuracy.
- Ability to build effective relationships with business stakeholders and work cross-functionally.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multinational, changing environment.
- Experience working in a large or multinational organization.
- Experience with SOX controls and payroll audits.
- Experience partnering with Finance, Tax, HR, Benefits, or Global Mobility teams.
- Experience with employee service center or payroll case management systems.
- Experience with payroll reconciliations and reporting.
- Experience identifying and implementing payroll process improvements
