POSITION SUMMARY
The Payroll Analyst is principally responsible for supporting the payroll administration and accounting functions for the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
May perform any or all of the following duties:
- Supports and administers assigned payroll processes to include payroll adjustments, demographic changes, time imports, supplemental wage payments, and internal & external report distribution
- Timely and accurate coordination of payroll transactions
- Assists where required with timekeeping administration
- Provides customer service to internal customers, including corporate and field-based employees, on any payroll-relevant questions
- Researches and resolves payroll discrepancies
- Maintains records, audits, and provides information upon request to business partners
- Reviews and processes wage attachments and garnishments
- Ensures that employee income is properly taxed and reported to government agencies and is correctly collected for internal reporting
- Reviews and responds to unemployment claims and data collection
- Coordinates and provides support for tax amendments and inquiries
- Supports ad-hoc payroll projects as assigned
- Demonstrates excellent time-management skills and autonomous work ethic
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES
- Five (5) years of any combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of the payroll process, including accounting and reporting
- BA/BS Degree preferred
- Must have the ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy, with excellent attention to detail
- Must have advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- UKG and/or Crunchtime experience preferred
- Must display strong analytical and organizational skills
- Must have a strong work ethic and a high level of discretion and integrity to ensure proper handling of confidential information
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Restaurant Support Center that operates in a fast-paced setting with a high volume of activity and a deadline-driven environment. The role follows a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence in the office every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Sitting for extended periods of time, using the telephone, typing, and/or operating a computer and/or mouse
