Intern, Accounting/Finance, Part-Time (Fall 2026)

The Opportunity

The Finance/Accounting Intern is a student enrolled in a four-year degree program at a college or University who assists in the day-to-day accounting processes and responsibilities within the Finance Department.  Under the supervision of the Controller, the Intern is responsible for a variety of functions pertaining to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial support functions. While some of the essential functions of the Finance/Accounting Intern role are completely independent, the incumbent will be expected to work in a team environment. The ability to take direction, as needed, from supervisors is required.

In This Role You Will

• Assist Staff Accountant with invoicing sponsorship agreements.
• Prepare basic Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in ensuring the control environment is operating effectively.
• Document and maintain thorough and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions completed using NetSuite and/or Microsoft Excel.
• Gather data and complete various financial analyses.
• Perform general clerical duties to assist accounting teams.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Experience You Will Bring

• Enrolled Sophomore or Junior Accounting major from a four-year college or university;
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Proficient using MS Excel, Word and Outlook;
• Ability to create Excel spreadsheets and analysis;
• Ability to work mornings or afternoons for 20-25 hours per week in 4-hour blocks of time;

Nice to Have:

•  Previous work experience in an office environment.
• Knowledge of accounting systems, preferably NetSuite.
