FP&A Analyst, Logistics & Fresh Delivery

Krispy Kreme’s FP&A Analyst – Fresh Logistics & DFD partners with Operations, Logistics, and DFD teams to provide financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for the end-to-end distribution of freshly made doughnuts from production facilities to fresh shops and DFD locations. This role focuses on the economics of time-sensitive, high-frequency distribution and direct fulfillment, ensuring cost efficiency, service reliability, and scalable growth while maintaining product freshness and quality standards.

A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans for Logistics and DFD operations
• Analyze monthly actuals vs. budget/forecast and provide clear explanations of key variances
• Support monthly close activities, including accruals for transportation, delivery labor, and distribution costs
• Build financial models to evaluate volume growth, route density, delivery frequency and capacity utilization.

Logistics & DFD Business Support

• Partner closely with Production, Logistics, Operations, and DFD teams to understand the cost and service drivers of fresh doughnut distribution
• Analyze costs associated with routes, including fleet, fuel, labor, maintenance, and third-party delivery services
• Assess the financial impact of freshness requirements, service levels, and delivery timing on overall cost-to-serve
• Support DFD initiatives through unit economics and cost-to-serve analysis at door, customer and channel levels
• Evaluate the scalability and profitability of new DFD location expansions from a distribution cost perspective

Reporting & Insights

• Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reporting for leadership on fresh logistics and DFD performance
• Develop and monitor KPIs such as cost per route, cost per delivery, cost per dozen, delivery frequency efficiency, and fulfillment margin
• Identify cost trends, capacity constraints, and efficiency opportunities while maintaining service standards
• Translate operational data into clear financial insights and actionable recommendations

Process Improvement & Controls

• Improve forecasting accuracy for fresh logistics volumes, routes, and delivery costs
• Help standardize methodologies for tracking and allocating of distribution costs across shops and DFD locations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and track financial benefits from route optimization, productivity, and cost-reduction efforts

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, or analytical roles
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools a plus
• Ability to communicate financial insights to operational partners
• Experience working with ERP and operational data systems
• Experience supporting fresh food, QSR, bakery, or time-sensitive distribution environments preferred
• Familiarity with route-based distribution, last-mile delivery, or company-owned fleet economics a plus
• Strong business partnering and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to balance cost, service, and freshness requirements
• Proactive, analytical, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
