Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst, you’ll play a key role in driving the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function across our dynamic hospitality portfolio. This is more than crunching numbers—you’ll partner with financial leadershio and cross-functional teams to analyze performance, develop forecasts, and support budgeting and long-term financial planning initiatives.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, meaningful insights that support operational and strategic objectives across Makeready’s hospitality portfolio

Requested Tasks

• Develop and maintain financial models, reports, and dashboards that support smarter decision-making.
• Analyze past and present results, uncover trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and forward-looking projections.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to gather insights and align on strategic initiatives.
• Monitor performance versus forecast, investigate variances, and present findings to leadership.
• Support strategic decision-making with research, benchmarking, and industry insights.
• Safeguard the accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems.
• Champion Makeready’s Guiding Principles in all aspects of your work.

Requested Capabilities

• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or related role.
• Strong foundation in accounting principles, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis. Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
• Experience with business intelligence and financial systems strongly preferred (ProfitSword, hotel PMS, POS, or sales systems).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large data sets.
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
• Hospitality industry experience strongly preferred.
